Sitejet ships with 140+ professional templates organised by industry. Picking the right one is the most important decision you will make in the builder - all the customisation that follows is easier when the template structure already matches your business.
How to pick the right template
- Filter by industry first. Templates are tagged Restaurant, Real Estate, Agency, Personal, E-commerce, Health, Construction, etc. Stick to your industry tag - the template will already include the right page structure (e.g. menu page for restaurants, listings page for real estate).
- Look at the page count. A 5-page template is right for most small businesses (Home, About, Services, Portfolio/Gallery, Contact). 10+ page templates are designed for richer content and have more sections to fill.
- Preview on mobile. Click the phone icon at the top of the preview - if the mobile layout looks cluttered, pick a different template.
- Match your brand colour. Most templates can be re-themed in 30 seconds, but a template that already uses cobalt blue feels at home if your brand is cobalt blue.
The five things to customise immediately
- Logo - upload yours via the header. PNG with transparent background looks best.
- Brand colours - Site Settings → Colours. Set the primary, accent and background colours; the whole template re-themes.
- Hero section - the big banner at the top of the home page. Replace the placeholder photo with one of your business and rewrite the headline to a clear value proposition (one sentence, what you do, who you do it for).
- Services / About text - replace ALL placeholder lorem-ipsum copy. Even a short sentence in your own voice beats sample text.
- Contact details - phone, e-mail, address (if relevant), Google Map embed, social links. These appear in the footer of every page.
Save before you publish
Sitejet auto-saves drafts as you work. Use Preview to check the live look without publishing. Publish pushes the current draft to your real domain - visitors see it immediately. You can roll back to any earlier version from the History panel if you regret a change.
