Why backups matter

Hard drives fail. Plugins break. Hackers attack. Customers accidentally delete the entire products page. The single best protection against any of these is a recent, working backup.

What can go wrong without backups

  • Hardware failure - rare but real. A server disk dies and the data is gone if not replicated.
  • Bad plugin/theme update - takes the site offline. Without backup you have to debug live.
  • Compromised site - the only clean way to recover is to restore from a known-clean backup.
  • Human error - someone deletes the wrong file, drops the wrong database table, overwrites the wrong page.
  • Ransomware - your local files (or even your CMS database) get encrypted and a ransom is demanded. Restoring from off-site backup makes ransomware a non-event.

What Trinico Cloud includes for free

Every cPanel hosting plan includes:

  • Daily backups taken at off-peak hours.
  • 30 days of restore points.
  • Self-service restore via cPanel - restore your whole site, a single file or a single database with a few clicks.
  • Backups stored on a separate server in the same data centre, plus a weekly off-site copy.

For higher-risk sites - add CodeGuard

If your site changes daily (e-commerce, blogs, customer portals), upgrade to CodeGuard or another website backup service. CodeGuard takes its own daily snapshot, stores it off-site by default, and lets you compare any two snapshots to see exactly what changed - useful for spotting compromises early.
