Why daily backups matter (and what we include)

Hard drives fail. Plugins break. Hackers attack. Customers accidentally delete the entire products page. The single best protection against any of these is a recent, working backup.
What can go wrong without backups
- Hardware failure - rare but real. A server disk dies and the data is gone if not replicated.
- Bad plugin/theme update - takes the site offline. Without backup you have to debug live.
- Compromised site - the only clean way to recover is to restore from a known-clean backup.
- Human error - someone deletes the wrong file, drops the wrong database table, overwrites the wrong page.
- Ransomware - your local files (or even your CMS database) get encrypted and a ransom is demanded. Restoring from off-site backup makes ransomware a non-event.
