SiteLock Trust Seal

The SiteLock Trust Seal is a small badge you can display on your website to show visitors that your site is being scanned daily and is free of malware. Trust seals are widely recognised - SiteLock's research has found that displaying the seal can reduce shopping cart abandonment by a noticeable amount because visitors are more confident giving their card details.

What the seal actually proves

  • Your site is scanned every day for malware and known vulnerabilities.
  • The scan returned a clean result.
  • The seal is a live, real-time badge - if your site fails a scan, the seal updates automatically and shows the issue. So a fraudster cannot just copy the image.

Where to put it

Best placements are:

  • Your footer - on every page, alongside any other trust badges.
  • Your checkout page - right where visitors are deciding whether to enter their card.
  • Your contact page - reassures people their form submission is safe.

How to get it

The Trust Seal is included with every SiteLock plan from Find upwards. Once you sign up, the dashboard generates a small code snippet you paste into your site footer. We can paste it for you if you ask - no extra charge.
